PHOTO SUBMISSION & VOTING PERIOD:
The photo submission period for the Messiest Babies & Kids Photo Contest is 7 a.m. Feb. 28 through 11:59 p.m. March7. The voting period is 7 a.m. March 8 through 11:59 p.m. March 12.
ELIGIBILITY, ENTRY & VOTING:
No purchase necessary. One valid entry per contestant.
All entries and votes must be submitted on the Messiest Babies & Kids Photo
Contest page of the website.
You must be 13 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If the JG-TC cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
CONTEST RULES:
The child in the photo must be under the age of six years as of March 4, 2013
Entry of the photo in the contest must be authorized by the parent or legal guardian of the child. The Entrant will be required to submit consent to the JG-TC upon request.
Professional photos will not be accepted. Photos must have been taken by the Entrant and cannot be the product of a professional photographer (e.g. Wal-Mart, Sears, JC Penney, Kmart, Target, a portrait studio or any professional photographer, paid or unpaid)
The photo must not have been published or be under consideration for publication or prizes elsewhere.
The photo must be of the child only. No other persons should appear in the photo.
All children must be wearing a minimum of a full coverage diaper in the photo.
Photos that have been altered, manipulated or enhanced using computer software programs will not be accepted. Minor adjustments to the Photo such as lightening or darkening areas of the Photo, slight contrast or color adjustments and cropping are acceptable. If the JG-TC determines a photo has been altered, manipulated or enhanced, the judges reserve the right to disqualify the Photo.
By entering the contest, entrant represents, acknowledges and warrants that the submitted photo is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photo does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest in the photo.
The photo must not, in the sole and unfettered discretion of the JG-TC, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content (collectively, “Inappropriate Content”). The JG-TC retains sole discretion as to what constitutes Inappropriate Content.
If the photo contains any material or elements that are not owned by the entrant and/or which are subject to the rights of third parties, the entrant is responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the photo, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit the exhibition and use of the Photo in the manner set forth in these Rules without additional compensation. The entrant will be required to submit copies of any releases and consents to JG-TC upon request.
All Photos become the property of the JG-TC and may be used by the JG-TC for marketing or any other commercial purpose.
WINNERS/PRIZES:
The JG-TC reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
The JG-TC reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors,
and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors,
employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors,
and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any
kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property
which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or
use of the prize.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and
will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right
to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
ADDITIONAL:
Employees of the JG-TC, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to the JG-TC the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
The JG-TC reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or the JG-TC. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
UPICKEM and the JG-TC are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
JG-TC reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
This contest is officially sponsored by JG-TC.
